NETBALL in Gladstone would probably not have been the same if it wasn't for Pam Moore.

Pam was involved in netball in the city for more than 30 years.

Pam Developed the skills of local netballers since moving to Gladstone in 1974. Over the years she went on to mentor the children of the players she had developed in her early years with Gladstone Netball.

Mrs Moore was the first regional development co-ordinator for netball in the Capricornia region.

Until 2004 she spent 25 years on the Gladstone Netball Association executive committee, including six as president (in two separate stints) and also served as coaching convener.

At different stages she was the GNA's inaugural umpires and nippers convener.

She was awarded the Australian Sports Medal, and is a Life Member of GNA.

Each year we celebrate the commitment and development that Pam brought our association with our Pam Moore Carnival.
